Owner & Head Instructor
Owner of Master Shin's Academy Tae Kwon Do and a 5th Dan World Taekwondo black belt.
Master Shin holds a 5th-degree black belt from the World Taekwondo (WT) headquarters in Seoul, South Korea, an achievement she earned after 14 years of dedicated study at Dong-a University. She has competed on the international stage, earning second place in sparring at the 2008 World University Taekwondo Competition in Serbia and first place in sparring at the 2009 Chuncheon Korea Open International Taekwondo Championship. Since 2010, Master Shin has expanded her expertise by training with accomplished Masters in Greece, Azerbaijan, China, and the United States, further enriching her understanding of the art. In 2019, she became the proud owner of Shin's Academy Taekwondo, where she shares her passion and knowledge with students throughout the Northland. Master Shin finds immense joy in helping students of all ages succeed, grow, and reach their full potential.

We offer classes for all ages, from young children to adults. Our programs are tailored to different skill levels and goals.
No prior experience is required! We welcome beginners as well as experienced martial artists looking to refine their skills.
Comfortable athletic wear is fine for your first class. If you decide to continue, we'll guide you on getting a uniform and gear.
We recommend attending at least two classes per week for steady improvement, but you can train more frequently based on your goals.
We go beyond physical training to focus on building strong character. Our program is rooted in the values of loyalty, discipline, and perseverance helping students grow into confident, respectful individuals both on and off the mat. We teach not just technique, but the mindset and spirit of true martial artists.
